Avocado Bruschetta w/ Balsamic Reduction: Damn Delicious

Christmas dinner party? If you're like me you never know what to bring. The answer? Classic Onion Tomato Bruschetta with Balsamic Glaze - a great appetizer for just about any occasion!
// ingredients
5 basil leaves 1/4 tsp garlic salt
3 garlic cloves pinch of pepper - to taste
1 red onion, medium pinch of salt - to taste
2 roma tomatoes
1 cup balsamic reduction 1/2 - whole french baguette
2-1/4 olive oil
// two step recipe
1. Make the onion-tomato-basil mix. For this just just need to mix in everything together. It’s good to mix everything and keep it aside for 1-2 hours. This way the flavors really come together.
2. Toast the bread. You can do this using an oven (like I did) or use a toaster or a grill pan.
// directions
In a bowl mix together chopped onion, tomato and basil. Add olive oil, garlic salt, salt and black pepper to taste. Mix everything till well combined and then set aside for 1-2 hours. This time is important for flavors to mix-in together.
In a plate take olive oil and add minced garlic to it. Also add salt, black pepper and mix.
Dip the bread slices one by one in this oil-garlic mixture. Toast the bread in the oven at 350 F degrees for 8-10 minutes. Or you can toast on a grill/pan.
// final touches
Arrange the bread slices on serving plate. Top with the onion-tomato-basil mixture. Drizzle with balsamic glaze. Voila!
xoxo.
